We are so pleased that our March 12, 2017 Gift of Community Reception will continue the popular tradition of having a Silent Auction. All proceeds from the Silent Auction go into our New Glarus Community Foundation Fund (part of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin – www.cfsw.org). Money contributed to the New Glarus Community Foundation — whether from the Silent Auction proceeds or from donations / pledges — go into a permanent endowment, the income from which is used to fund grants.
The New Glarus Community Foundation distributes grants to improve the quality in life in New Glarus. Projects funded by the Foundation have included public health / safety, cultural events, youth activities, historical preservation, and recreation / sports.
We encourage you or your organization / business to donate an item to our 2017 Silent Auction. Items can be dropped off at The Bank of New Glarus (1101 State Road 69, New Glarus) during regular business hours. The deadline for donating Silent Auction items is Wednesday, March 1st.
